Deputy President
Kithure Kindiki received updates on ongoing road projects across Kenya's 47
counties at Harambee House Annex in Nairobi, confirming the government cleared
KSh 177 billion in pending contractor bills from 2020-2021 and paid KSh 270
billion over the past year for approximately 8,000 kilometers of bitumen roads.
He announced that the
KSh 155 billion modernization of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has
commenced.
The briefing involved Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir and other officials.
