The Thursday meeting focused on
Kenya's renewable energy, infrastructure, and over $100 million in planned
investments in tourism and hospitality to create jobs, according to Chivayo's
statement.
It's not their first encounter,
with reports of multiple meetings since early 2025, including at state lodges,
and Chivayo's firm joining a $2.9 billion airport expansion consortium.
While supporters praise the economic potential, many question the frequent access given Chivayo's past fraud convictions and ties to Zimbabwe's ZANU-PF, alongside unproven online suspicions about election interference following a recent IEBC server outage.
