Kindiki and Gachagua Launch Door-to-Door Drives in Mbeere North By-Election

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is campaigning door-to-door for United Democratic Alliance candidate Leonard Muriuki Wamuthende, while former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua supports Democratic Congress Party's Newton Kariuki in the November 27, 2025, by-election for the Mbeere North parliamentary seat in Embu County.

The seat became vacant following Geoffrey Ruku's appointment as Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation.

A recent poll indicates Wamuthende leads with 51% support compared to Kariuki's 32%, as both leaders focus on local development issues in the Mt. Kenya region.
