In his third State of the Nation Address on November 20, President William Ruto highlighted economic wins like inflation dropping to 4.6%, a stable shilling, and record maize production from fertilizer subsidies. He unveiled a Sh5 trillion, 10-year agenda focused on health coverage, housing, food security, and creative industries, including dualling 2,500 km of roads on 20 key corridors to cut transport costs and boost trade. Leaders praised the vision while online reactions split, with supporters cheering progress and critics pointing to unemployment, debt, and unmet needs.
