Leonard Wa Muthende of UDA took 15,802 votes to beat Newton Kariuki of DP's 15,308 in the by-election, using the 2022 voter register verified by IEBC's KIEMS system. Nine candidates ran amid low youth turnout, bribery claims from both sides, and polling station tensions, though no widespread fraud was confirmed.
