Ronaldo Scores Brace, Breaks Records in Portugal's 5-0 Rout of Uzbekistan

Portugal crushed Uzbekistan 5-0 in Houston on Tuesday, with Ronaldo's brace in the 6th and 39th minutes pushing his World Cup tally to 10—surpassing Eusebio's record of nine.

Nuno Mendes added a cheeky free-kick goal, followed by an own goal and Rafael Leão's late strike, rebounding from last week's 1-1 draw against DR Congo.

Ronaldo became the second-oldest scorer in tournament history and the oldest for a brace, shrugging off critics by saying those who work hard get rewarded. Portugal now leads Group K with six points.
