Trump Warns Netanyahu of Isolation in Iran Conflict Escalation

The clashes started Sunday when Israel hit Hezbollah sites in Beirut after projectiles struck its troops in southern Lebanon; Iran retaliated with ballistic missiles on northern Israel, drawing Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military targets and a petrochemical plant near Tehran.

Both sides paused Monday, with Netanyahu defending the actions as self-defense and claiming they stopped a nuclear threat, though such assertions faced online skepticism amid unconfirmed reports of high-level Iranian losses.

Trump told Netanyahu in calls to show restraint to avoid standing alone, as U.S.-Iran talks on ceasefire extension and nuclear curbs hang in the balance amid regional de-escalation pressures.
