Grounds in Embu County's Manyatta Constituency, elders from Meru, Embu, Tharaka
Nithi, Kirinyaga, and Isiolo counties held a solemn assembly Saturday.
They endorsed Kindiki as the region's leader,
backed President William Ruto's 2027 re-election, and urged Mt Kenya West to reciprocate
long-standing support by backing Kindiki.
Deputy President Kindiki and Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Kiringa Ruku attended alongside regional MPs, highlighting traditional institutions' role in fostering unity ahead of the next election.
