27, 2026, Museveni inaugurated the twin-tower Kampala Marriott Hotel, connected
by a skybridge and featuring 181 rooms, suites, restaurants, conference spaces,
and 96 executive apartments.
Developed by Ugandan businessman Ponsiano Ngabirano with government support, the hotel aims to boost tourism by attracting high-spending visitors to business and diplomatic hubs.
The event drew senior officials like Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, with Museveni addressing crowds from a podium in the sleek, illuminated venue.
