South Africa Files Dossier Accusing Israel of ICJ Order Violations in Gaza Case

South Africa submitted a detailed dossier to the International Court of Justice on August 25, accusing Israel of failing to follow three provisional measures from 2024 aimed at preventing genocidal acts, ensuring aid, and protecting evidence.

The filing reports at least 73,407 Palestinians killed and 174,335 injured since October 2023—over 10 percent of Gaza's population—along with arbitrary detentions, torture, rising miscarriages, and child deaths post-ceasefire.

Pretoria described Israel's non-compliance as threatening the court's legitimacy and vowed to pursue all avenues for adherence, while Israel rejects the claims, saying its actions target Hamas and follow international law.
