Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged Kenyans to respect the country’s judicial systems and avoid seeking justice beyond national borders. Speaking during a recent public address, Mudavadi emphasized that Kenya’s institutions are capable of delivering fair and credible outcomes, calling for confidence in local governance structures.
The Prime CS warned that taking domestic disputes or grievances to foreign entities undermines the sovereignty of the nation and could expose citizens to unnecessary legal and diplomatic challenges.
“We must believe in our own institutions. Crossing borders to look for justice not only weakens our country’s credibility but also raises questions about our trust in ourselves,” Mudavadi stated.
His remarks come amid rising concerns over individuals and groups escalating local matters to international platforms. Mudavadi’s call reinforces the government’s broader message on strengthening national unity, accountability, and institutional trust.
He further urged leaders and citizens alike to work together in ensuring that Kenya’s systems of justice remain strong, transparent, and accessible to all.
“True justice begins at home,” he added. “When we strengthen our courts and uphold the rule of law, we strengthen Kenya.”
