EACC officers searched Patrick Analo Akivaga's Syokimau residence
on Thursday, seizing KSh 51.3 million in Kenyan shillings and US$113,000 from
his home and car boot, plus title deeds, laptops, phones, and documents tied to
corruption claims.
The raid targets
allegations of conflict of interest, abuse of office, bribery, and unexplained
wealth in the urban planning department, which has faced complaints over
irregular permits and chaotic developments.
While social media
buzzed with outrage over the cash hoard and Nairobi's graft issues, EACC
confirmed the tally and said findings will inform potential prosecutions.
