Maseno School Breaks Ground on KSh4 Billion Modernization Project

Kenya's historic Maseno School in Kisumu County launched a KSh4 billion upgrade to replace aging classrooms, labs, and facilities with modern ones including sports areas and a STEM complex.

The four-year plan starts with 40 new classrooms and eight labs, backed by President Ruto, alumni, and partners like Safaricom. Founded in 1906, the school has produced leaders and strong KCSE results; now debates focus on the funding scale, heritage preservation, and value for a full campus rebuild.
