On August 31, Kenya's Medical Supplies Authority partnered with Pfizer under its Accord for a Healthier World, reducing prices for breast, stomach, colon, lung, prostate, and oesophageal cancer drugs from up to KSh1 million to below KSh50,000 per cycle. The Social Health Authority's KSh800,000 package covers most costs for patients.
Around the same time, Ruto toured Kajiado
County, launching the KSh9.4 billion Illasit–Rombo–Chala–Njukini–Taveta Road,
KSh2.7 billion power line, KSh221 million irrigation project for 6,000
households, plus housing and markets. These steps advance healthcare access and
regional infrastructure.
